Pages that will never be...

I have scrapped in the past without photos. I have memorabilia pages that are scrapped with tickets and invitations. For instance, the page seen here was for a religious event where no photos were allowed. I had enough stuff to want to scrap it, though.

Some events will never be "scrappable" and it kills me to have nothing to scrap! For example, I am a HUGE Harry Connick, Jr Fan! I love his voice! A few years ago, I joined his fan club just so I could get good tickets to his concerts. It's only like $15 a year and you get GREAT tickets to his shows. He comes to the Seattle area about every 2 years. Last time he was here he sang at an outdoor venue. We invited our friends to go with us (my friend's dh said, "Who?" but went anyway!) I ordered my tickets the minute I got the fan club form. We had to pick them up at the "Will Call" booth the day of the show. So, on a warm late June evening, we headed out with Rob and Amy (she reads my blog - HI AMY!) to the show. When we picked up our tix, I said, "Do you think Row A, seats 1-4 will be good?" Ummm, yes, they were good. We were literally in the front row center - seats 1-4. I could see Harry's nose hairs (okay, not really, but you get the idea). BUT, cameras are not allowed at his concerts (which I HATE!!) so I have NO photos of us sitting like 10 feet from him for 2 hours. I have a ticket stub and that's it. There's no point in scrapping that at all. I think Amy took a photo of us against the stage after the show was over - big whoop. Harry wasn't peaking around the curtain or anything so it's worthless.

It's just one of many pages that will never be... I guess I'll have to start writing in my journal so I can record the photo-free moments of my life.

I'm sure you could find a picture of him on the internet! Then you'd have a pic of him, you and your friend and the ticket stub! I once did a page of a movie that my dh and I saw. The only thing I had was the stubs. I found a pic of the movie and it totally made the page!

Yes, those were AWESOME seats!!! And that picture - it was BD (before digital) and it didn't turn out anyway. It was too dark :o( Oh well! You know you can count us in for the next concert. Rob actually enjoyed the concert. Even though he's never seen you so excited about a music personality before. And I remember you scrapping that page at a crop we were at together. I thought it was really creative - and I still do.
