Do Brand Names Matter When it Comes to Photo Books?

I did a little survey here about photobooks. There are SO MANY companies out there offering them. Prices seem to be a little "all over" as does quality. But, many of them are similar in both and from what I hear, there are only about 3 types of printers so printing differences such as color and clarity aren't that different either.

Of course, we know the big brand - Shutterfly. But, does the brand name matter to you? Apparently not. Ninety-two percent of the people who answered my survey said that if quality and price were somewhat equal, they would buy from a private label or off-brand company.

That being said, we are working on a program that will allow retailers to have their own private brand of book. It will be printed by a company that I consider to be a brand - Rocket Life. I have been using them since last Fall and continue to be thrilled with every product I receive from them.

If you are a retailer and are interested in offering your own branded photo gifts and products, then sign up for our email newsletter and indicate your interest. Heck, you could even make your own "Party Plan" out of this as we will be offering video demos of the software you can use in a home-party setting. So, I guess if you're interested in starting your own at-home business, sign up. We anticipate launching this program early this Fall.
