Lessons Learned

THIS was in our local paper today. It's always painful to hear of someone having to learn lessons the hard (and expensive) way. Inventory management, location, marketing, etc. are all absolutes when it comes to running a small specialty boutique like a scrapbook store. But, often, those things are overlooked or largely ignored ("location isn't really THAT important") to follow a dream. Chasing your dreams is great, just make sure you put on your work boots, not your slippers, to run after them.

You can't ignore the realities of business ownership. They will catch up to you eventually. And, for these two shop owners, they finally did.
