Sahrie, a ScrapBiz member and owner of Philippine online store - Scrapbukan, was featured in the November issue of Entreprenuer Magazine - Philippines edition. She was interviewed as the owner of a DREAM BUSINESS for their cover story on Dream Businesses. The unique thing about Sahrie is that she lives in the U.S. but runs her business in the Philippines. She does so with the help of local teachers. She ships products from the U.S. on a regular basis and visits the Philippines regularly to attend to business there.
She says that Scrapbooking is in it's infancy in the Philippines but is growing in popularity. There are a few stores there, but most of them have a hard time getting products from the U.S. The magazine article actually featured three types of scrapbook businesses.
I believe that in the next 3-5 years, you will see scrapbooking make it's way into more and more countries. Photos are treasured around the world - scrapbooking is a wonderful way to preserve them!
Way to go, Sahrie! She's a true Scrapbooking Pioneer!
